In this assemblage of works, the artist works across various mediums: drawing, watercolour, ceramics and installation.
This wide range of mediums and processes allows her to experience and question expressions and boundaries of traditional art forms. The themes revolve around consumerism, using found objects like the plastic Jik bottle; and this coupled with references to brands. The viewer is told the Jik bottle is slip cast porcelain but this simulation enhances a cognitive dissonance, of the true nature of the Jik bottle. The artworks become containers or vessels for re-vised meaning, thereby becoming transformative and ‘unfixed’ in any one linear meaning or interpretation.
