About The Artist

Guillaume Theron was born in 1947 in Pieretsburg, Northern Transvaal
He is a sculptor of figures and abstract pieces. He Works in stone, cement fondu, wood, concrete, stainless steel and chrome resin.
Studies
1963-67 Pretoria Technical College, under Gunther van der Reis, Eugene-Leon Bouffa and Koos den Houten, gaining a National Doploma in Art and Design.
Profile
A member of the SAAA.
1980-81 conducted an art school in Pietersburg.
From 1985 has designed handknotted, painted, fibre wall hangings.
1974 spent three months in Paris.
1974 toured Scandinavia, Europe, Turkey, Israel and the Middle East.
Exhibitions
Participated in many group exhibitions from 1967 in SA and in a graphic exhibition in the USA.
1973 SAAA Gallery, Pretoria, first of 14 solo exhibitions.
1981 Republic Festival Exhibition.
