Love Letters to the Muted World

Katrine Claassens has an upcoming online exhibition which reflects on ecology, extinction and the contemporary climate crisis through the lens of fine art. The exhibition looks past our scorched earth onslaught to the beauty and life that yet persists, telling us a story of something that is always shifting and dissolving beyond our grasp.
Claassens' exhibition is accompanied by an essay from Nina-Marie Lister (Associate Professor & Director, Graduate Program in Planning and Director, Ecological Design Lab, Ryerson University). Over the course of the exhibition, Claassens will also be presenting a webinar artist talk with The Nature of Cities, an international climate platform for transdisciplinary dialogue and urban solutions. Coming at a pertinent time in our world, 'Love Letters to the Muted World' will be 99 Loop Gallery's first fully online exhibition.
