Dans van die Kameraman series

The dance of the Cameraman / Die dans van die Kameraman series is based on photographs taken by my partner during his working trips across South Africa. The capturing of moments in time is a continuation of my ongoing interest in the fleeting.

Rendered more realistically and very different from the A.M series works, these works speak of separation and distance and how the “pictographic" is used as a medium of communication and shared memory. I'm planning to build on this collection as my partner continues to travel to distant countries and remote spaces around the world.
