“Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood. Symptoms include difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behaviour, and hyperactivity (over-activity).”

ADHD has three subtypes: Predominantly hyperactive-impulsive, predominantly inattentive and combined hyperactive-impulsive and inattentive.

I selected a diagram of an interference pattern and cropped it at two different lengths. By selecting this pattern I am implying that people with ADHD have interferences with their attention span.

In my artwork I made use of three types of glass. Clear glass, frosty view and ocean. Where I used clear glass I am indicating that a person's attention span is focused. Where I used ocean glass I am referring to the subtype of ADHD which is predominantly inattentive. The frosty glass is referring differently to the subtype of ADHD which is predominantly hyperactive-impulsive.
