Beginsels (Principles) consists of a series of drawings and sculptures, studies of body attitudes and forms. It involves a search for what is happening on the inside. A reflection of the inner man. A tension between the limited form and the authority to break out. There are stages where a man moves beyond the limits of the form, beyond the point pressure, and then back again to be recognized as a figure, person, man.
