Fourie's current work draws extensively on the relationship between man and nature. Her rendering of nature is a reflection on man as both destroyer and preserver of nature. A certain longing for the wild open spaces of Africa prevails throughout her work whilst nature and the female form stands central in a placatory role. Fourie works in a variety of medium with a preference to scraper board.
