Art Exhibitions

A thoughtful, practice-led research curatorial project that explores the University’s Museum Collection by viewing the archive as an incomplete story, full of gaps, contradictions, and opportunities where both presence and absence matter. As reflected in its title, the exhibition invites various interpretations. It reflects on revisiting items, questioning how they have been presented before, and representing different people, histories, or cultures. It also raises important questions: What do we notice in museums? What might be missing? And how do our choices influence the stories we learn? The exhibition highlights often-overlooked narratives and challenges how we assign value, meaning, and significance. It prompts us to think about what is stored—what has been collected, housed, and preserved—and, more importantly, what else could or should be included in the museum’s care. Re(present)ation is not about telling just one story; it is an invitation to ask questions, spark conversations, and create a welcoming space for diverse voices and perspectives.
