Looking Back: Retrospective Exhibition

Theo Paul Vorster, acknowledged as one of the country’s most accomplished lino cut artists, will exhibit at Art.B Gallery. ‘Looking Back’, a ten-year retrospective, will showcase his work from this period and will be available from the gallery as well as online.

Vorster is known for creating unique pieces of art that always display magical colour and energy, luring the viewer into a surrealistic world filled with playful drama. Says Vorster: “It’s exciting to revisit some of my older prints and colour them for this exhibition. It feels as if I’m breathing new life into them. Some of the works are last print editions seeing that I also sell the original lino. The printed editions are low, which safeguards the prints’ exclusivity as I can never reprint.

“This solo exhibition has given me the ideal opportunity to showcase some of my work again and give those interested the opportunity to own them. Fortunately I had to unpack my prints cabinet to move it and realised how many beautiful lino prints there were waiting for me to colour and show again,” he explains.
