 edg2020 Inaugural Launch4 February 2021 - 25 March 2021 Inaugural Launch opening of edg2020 Gallery and meet at our new premises in the Kyalami area, Midrand.
The Gallery is a physical extension of edg online Gallery that launched in June 2020.
For this exhibition the selection of artists was done to provide an overview of our vision for the Gallery: To showcase good quality contemporary work that engages with the diverse world of South Africans. In the collection of works on show the artists engage mainly with social and personal issues; environmental concerns; and the covid pandemic. The artists are gender and culture inclusive and they hail from the very north of the country (Lucas Thobejane) to the very south (Alta Botha) and places inbetween. Participating: Alta Botha, Diane Victor, Gordon Froud, Jan van der Merwe, Lucas Thobejane, Lothar Böttcher, Mary-Jane Morris, Rosa Snyman-Wessels and Thabo Pitso.
