The female body has been used in the arts as a fetishist, commercial or aesthetic object for centuries. Digital technology allows constant reproduction and manipulation. The body in the media is often centred around its sexuality, but the sexuality becomes almost banal as it is reproduced so often. Digital technology allows for an abundance of these images. Like a kaleidoscope, one image implodes into another, reproducing a pattern devoid of meaning. The images of bodies are meant to arouse and create a desire to consume, only to be replaced by the next image of seduction, creating an endless cycle of desiring, gazing and replacing.
