 Drawn In5 April 2020 Participating: Various artists Drawing is one of the oldest forms of human expressions within the visual arts and in effect the basis of all art. "It is generally concerned with the marking of lines and areaa of tone onto paper and other material, where the accurate representation of the visual world is expressed upon a plain surface."
The signature work by Brett Shuman, a large diptych titled 'Elegy' juxtaposed his interpretations of Velasques's 'Infanta Margarita Teresa in a Blue Dress' and Picasso's 'Guernica' as allegories highlighting the universal duality and paradoxical parallels of cause and effect being experienced in a world of increasing societal division. |
