Art Exhibitions

12 November 2019

SAFFCA will be exhibiting 60 carefully selected artworks from this palette of 60 talents at Villa Arcadia in Parktown from the 12th - 19th of November 2019.
During this celebration, SAFFCA will give guided tours of this exceptional sample of  Southern African Contemporary Art to pupils of Junior schools to invite and assist them to engage with this essential element of our society. Furthermore, SAFFCA SEED Art-Talks will offer to the public presentations by artists of their local and/or international journey.
The exhibition will accessible to the public from 15 00 to 18 00 on the 12th to the 18th of November and from 09 00 to 18 00 on the 16th and 17th of November.
On the final evening – the 19th of November, SAFFCA will host the auction of these artworks which have been rigorously selected by a non-commercial entity. The auction will be conducted by Strauss and Co and will offer to local, regional and global Art Collectors access to artworks of some of the best Southern African Contemporary Artists of today and of tomorow.
On the 19th of November, Cape Town and the Cape Collectors will be actively linked to the event by live transmission at the AVA. In addition to reaffirming their engagement for the established Southern African Contemporary artists, it will be for most of the collectors a fabulous way to discover and possibly support younger confirmed emerging artists wisely selected by these established artists and the Foundation.
The diffusion through the media is vitally important for SEED-1 to meet the success it has been designed for.
The foundation needs your help to reach all of us in SOUTH AFRICA and create true awareness for this exceptional and freely accessible display of the wealth, depth and diversity of the Southern African Contemporary Art.
